About the Artist
Short Bio
Nick Coulson (b. 1973, Melbourne) is a Brisbane based artist whose paintings explore everyday objects and surrounds - these tend to be small, mostly domestic and often overlooked.
Nick has been a finalist in the National Emerging Art Prize (2024), Clayton Utz Art Award (2024), Lethbridge 20000 Small Scale Art Award (2018, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023), Hawkesbury Art Prize (2021), Stanthorpe Art Prize (2021) and the Eutick Memorial Still Life Award (2018 and 2019).
Nick has been part of group exhibitions in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne, and his work is held in private collections in Australia and overseas.
