3 April – Finalists released to artists
9 May - Exhibition artworks delivered
11 – 15 May – Exhibition open to public
11 May - Opening event and winners announced
16 May – Exhibition artwork collection
SUMMARY OF ENTRY TERMS
1. Each artist may enter a maximum of three artworks
2. A non-refundable entry fee of $50 per artist is required; each artist may submit up to three artworks for this fee
3. Artwork must be original artworks by the artist
4. Artworks must have been completed within the 12 months prior to the Show
5. Awards consist of the ‘Best of Show’ $10,000 prize, ‘People’s Choice’ $1000 prize, and category prizes worth $1000 each.
6. Australian and international artists are eligible
7. Artworks are to be no larger than 1.5 metres in height or width
8. Entries are to be submitted online, images are to be no larger than 1MB
9. The competition is open to all forms of 2D and 3D art excluding installation, video and moving image
10. 2D artworks must be suitably framed and fitted with hanging wire and D hangers
11. All exhibition and online artworks must be available for purchase
12. There is a 35% commission on all sold artworks excluding sales through a third party
13. Artists are responsible for delivery of their artwork to the display venue and collection of unsold works on the designated days, at the nominated times
14. All reasonable care will be taken in the handling of the artwork, however the Rotary Art Spectacular will not be responsible for any loss or damage to artworks while in its custody
15. Insurance for the artwork during exhibition and transit remains the responsibility of the artist
15. By entering, the artist consents to images of their work being reproduced and their biographical information used for the purpose of advertising the exhibition
