About the Artist

A Brief History

Margaret is a contemporary realist oil painter currently residing in Brisbane and specialising mainly in figurative work. After graduating in Anthropology and Sociology she went on to complete postgraduate work in Education and the Visual Arts in the early 1980's. She gave up teaching art in international schools in Nepal and Thailand to pursue a full time art career more than 15 years ago. She is a juried member of two international groups - Artists for Conservation and the International Guild of Realism - and has exhibited in Bangkok, Singapore, London and in various cities and towns around Australia. Margaret’s art can be found in private collections around the world.
